There is a close relationship between environmental integrity and the quality of life of human and non-human species inhabiting the ecosystems around the globe. Changes will inevitably affect not only the health and well-being of individuals but also cultural and societal dimensions of the shared lifeworld. When the impact of climate change on health conditions becomes uncontrollable, the question shifts to how to protect living beings. Inequalities and injustices may lead to societal disruptions and mass migration, causing conflict. In this Social Lab, technological solutions for health and social security will be explored with relevant stakeholders from industry, the health-care sector, policy-making, and civil society.
