From February 18 to 20, the EUREC Office team launched a meaningful training initiative focusing on research ethics, research integrity, and open science as core pillars of responsible research.
Within this context, our project, RE4GREEN, was presented to students of the UNU Joint MSc Programme in Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security, as part of a short course on research ethics.
During the presentation of the project’s rationale, philosophy, and key findings, critical issues were explored, including the interconnection between environmental and climate ethics and research ethics, an overview of our project, as well as a case study on the ethical implications of fossil fuel research funding in universities.
It was an excellent and highly fruitful discussion that offered valuable insights and enriched our thinking and perspective.
